The DZIF Tissue Bank at the Heidelberg Institute of Pathology coordinates the use of human tissue samples for scientific purposes, so that a consistently high tissue quality is guaranteed, taking into account all applicable ethical, legal and social requirements and comprehensive quality management, including the histopathological assessment of the tissues by proven experts. The DZIF tissue bank works in accordance with the biobank standard DIN EN ISO 20387, which has been confirmed by the German Accreditation Centre (DAkkS) in a comprehensive accreditation procedure. The individual rights of patients are safeguarded and data protection is ensured.
